Wow! Where do I start??

It's been a crazy few weeks, to say the least. Crazy good. The new job is going great. I like my work, like my boss and my co-workers. Not fond of the drive (about 1 hour) but am getting used to it. I'm starting to feel that I almost know what I'm doing after about 3 weeks.

Then, I got some other good news, what you'll be reading about alot. I got asked to be on a creative team for Digiland Designs. SWEET! Yup, me. Digiland Designs is an up and coming template designer who is working on adding kits as well. I must say I LOVE her templates! She just started selling at Digital Scrap Ink. Go check it out. (Plus, as a grand opening sale all of her designs are 35% off until Aug.31) Run, don't walk over there.

You'll be seeing more of her designs on the blog. I'm going to do my best to keep this updated.

On a family note, Lauren and I went on our annual "Girl's trip" today. We went to the Philly Zoo had a blast, despite the heat. She rode a draft horse (man are they big) and fed the goats. Plus, I actually talked her into seeing the alligators and crocodiles. (She was ok once she realized they were behind glass and couldn't get her. She thought one of them wasn't real because it was sitting so still!) We also saw the penguins being fed. There was one character who parked himself right by the food bucket and the zoo keeper. I guess he liked getting hand fed and not have to dive for his food.

Last week Landon and Kurt went to a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park. They also had a great time. I think Landon's year was made when JA Happ tossed him a ball from batting practice. He was so excited that he called me from the stadium to tell me!

This week promises to be as busy. I have a little girl who is turning four. Hard to imagine. I'm so glad that's she's in my life.

Well, time to see if I can update other parts of the blog, then bed. This working full time is tough...

A Little Case of Nerves

Why do I feel like a kid on the first day of school? Maybe it's because I'm starting a new job next week? I've been one of the approximately 10% of the population who has been laid off. It's been difficult. I've been happy to be at home with the kids, but... I've determined that I'm really, really not cut out to be a full time stay at home home. I have a new respect for those mom's who do it all the time. God bless them. Really. Any one who says they can do it. Just try it. Honestly. I'm thrilled to be going back to work. My DH is like, you aren't going to like it after awhile. I am now going to have a commute to. That's ok. To me, it's peace and quiet time. The new job is going to be more challenging as well. Right now, it's just a 6 month contract. Hopefully it will go permanent after the 6 months. I hope.

Two Artists

Here are my first scrapbook layouts. The first of many, I hope. These kits are from the DigiScrapArtist Site - So you think you can Design contest that was held a few months ago. This kit was from the first week and had an artist theme. I knew that it would be perfect for the pictures I had of Landon and Lauren painting the canvases. The canvases now hang on the landing going up to the second floor. They had such fun doing them and feel like true artists.
